The St. Paul Community Foundation toolkit helps philanthropists identify their charitable vision. Users are guided through a series of prompts and interactive exercises that generates a unique charitable vision, giving style summary, and resource guide. Quotes and resources are seamlessly integrated throughout each guided activity, providing users with valuable insights and inspiration. Users have the flexibility to access related resources at any time during an activity or visit the dedicated resources page, which offers a curated collection of valuable information and references.
The platform offers a series of guided exercises aimed at assisting philanthropists in clarifying their priorities and defining their giving approach. In the Values and Interests exercises, users begin by selecting their top 10 cards and subsequently refine their choices to their top 3. Upon completing these exercises, users are prompted to write about each of their selected values and interests.
Once users have identified their values and interests, they can proceed to articulate their charitable vision. Through a series of writing exercises, users are guided to a mad-libs screen that assists them in crafting the initial draft of their vision. Following this exercise, users have the option to edit or add to their vision. The charitable vision serves as the foundation for their philanthropic gift, guiding them towards charities that align with their values and interests.
